On January 15th, the construction of two key production units of Tianyuan Petrochemical's 100,000-ton/year propylene project was completed. The system purge and flushing were completed, and the high-standard project was delivered. The water-transportation linkage trial phase began on the same day.

The 250,000 tons/year gas separation unit and 400,000 tons/year aromatic hydrogenation unit were designed by Shanghai Hetu Engineering Co., Ltd., constructed by Shandong Junhui Construction Group Company, and supervised by China Supervision Company. Among them, the gas separation unit adopts the traditional three-column distillation range; the hydrogenation unit adopts the selective hydrogenation process, and the products meet the latest national environmental protection requirements.

At present, Tianyuan Petrochemical has invested a total investment of 1.68 billion yuan in the 100,000-ton/year propylene project (75% of which is its own funds), and has completed 97.26% of fixed asset investment; it will enter the full trial production stage after the Spring Festival this year. The project started construction in September 2016, and some of the devices were put into trial production at the end of August 2018, all of which achieved a successful start-up and stable operation.
